    GNX 375 GPS dropouts

I had the Garmin 175 installed, which is the GPS only version. I also have Narco radios and would lose the GPS upon transmitting. I returned it to my install facility and they installed filters for the Narco radios. This did rectify the problem with no issues since the install.

GPS drops out on Garmin GNC355

Just had the same issue with a new garmin 175 install. I have Narco radios, com1 and com2. Each time I would let up, I get the gsrmiN LOI screen. My installer found a filter and place them on each radio, resolving the problem. At some point though, it appears the narco radios are getting...

    Garmin 175 GPS LOI issue?

I have a Piper Cherokee, in which I recently installed a Garmin 175 GPS. Since the install, on a regular basis while flying the aircraft, I receive a LOI on the screen. After returning and trouble shooting at the Garmin installer, it appears to have some sort of interference from my dual Narco...

    Piper Cherokee oil Leak?

Had an AP look at it. It’s the switch going to the Hobbs meter. Said it has the oriface where it can’t blow off causing a major leak. It will continue to ooze a drop or so every so often. Part has been ordered. Thanks for insight.

    Piper Cherokee oil Leak?

Thanks. Yeah its a 69, Cherokee 140. With the fear of being berated by a few, lol, I was curious if it's flown with this extremely minor leak, can it get larger to the point the line blows off, etc. blowing all the oil out. I figured it would be that line as it feeds into copper, then through...

    Piper Cherokee oil Leak?

Ill try to get a photo to upload but I found, what appears to be an oil leak, maybe. I'm not sure what is leaking so I'll try to describe as best as possible. There is an oil line I believe, on the left (pilot) side of the aircraft, where the oil line connects to copper type tubing which goes...

    Flying in NE smokey haze??

I've been curious on this since this weather began. Here in PA we've had low visibilities and ceilings due to the wildfires in Canada. It sucks to even walk outside, smell and breathe this junk. I don't plan on flying anytime soon in these conditions, but I'm curious the effect this air...

For Sale Narco AT150 Transponder; Narco OBS indicator; Bendix/King VFR GPS

I recently completed an avionics upgrade, where I now have the above listed items for sale. The transponder and indicator were working fine when they were removed. Transponder was last bench tested in April of 2021. The Bendix/King GPS had some screen issues and worked intermittently. Pics...

    Commercial before Instrument rating?

I'm more or less asking for opinions on it, not the rules or requirements.

    Commercial before Instrument rating?

I met the complex requirements. Have around 25 hours in an Arrow logged.

    Commercial before Instrument rating?

I currently have logged approximately 180 hours. I have nearly completed all of my part 141 instrument school and requirements, but it's been awhile since I've gone through the training. I plan on installing a new IFR GPS in the plane, then finishing my IFR in my own aircraft. While I'm...

    Oil leak or blowout?

I believe I have the oil thing figured out now. Besides that I was following the lycoming protocols for a new cylinder break in. It says to open the throttle up to full for approximately 30 minutes while in cruise. I’m guessing my tach must be off, but in a flight today when I did it, the tach...
