    Tesla Model 3 Announcement tonight

They won't. The first deliveries are going to be "highly optioned" in Musk's own words. $35K + battery upgrade + autopilot + Supercharger access + AWD (dual motors) + + +. I speculate the first cars will go for $60K - $70K. Look at their current "Signature" buyer Model X sales. $150K a...

You can go off the grid 100%. But you must fully pull the plug. If you need supplemental electricity on dark, windless days, or you want to sell power to the power company, you still need "the grid", and everyone pays for the infrastructure.

Lots of fake causes in the world that my tax money pays for. Defense spending is a great example. I'll choose the one that benefits me selfishly and directly, thank you. Cool technology in a cool, fast package? You bet. Subsidized by Federal debt? Don't care, but thanks for your portion of...

    Tesla Model 3 Announcement tonight

Tesla has received an estimated $4.9 Billion in government subsidies directly to build their infrastructure. The first 200,000 buyers of their vehicles get a $7,500 tax credit from the Fed, in addition to tax credits from certain states on top of this.

Thankfully, it stops being your money when you write the check to the IRS. It becomes our money to be used for the common good.

    Tesla Model 3 Announcement tonight

No politics implied, but frankly We The People don't subsidize enough when it comes to transportation infrastructure. Rail, EV charging, new technology. We need to spend more, collectively. Musk is doing well "channeling" Jobs. He gets both the marketing and the technology. He's created a...

    Tesla Model 3 Announcement tonight

^ This ^. Except on the VW Diesel forums, it's "800 miles range, with a 5 minute recharge capability". This crap normally comes from diesel fanboys (and I drive a Touareg TDI). Tired, stale excuse that doesn't rationally apply to 99% of drivers.

I'm using the Insteon Hub with switches (gas fireplace, and a few switched lights), as well as the plug in modules for lamps. I'm going to order the garage door kit. Insteon has numerous devices available including fan controllers, leak detectors, cameras, etc. I use this in our beach house...

Just like guns and ammo, eh Nate? I'm guessing a weekend of killing paper with lead will easily burn up the cost of an Echo, correct? To each their own.... Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

No. It runs independently of any other Echo you may have. It is essentially the Echo without the high performance speaker built in.

    1. Marketing. To push the exposure / utilization of the "Voice Ordering" feature of Echo. 2. Throttling. Until they ramp up production. Expect to see it via conventional online ordering before long.

    Amazon Echo

I like mine. Got it as a Christmas gift. I have it linked to Pandora, Amazon (Prime) Music, TuneIn (to play an FM station I found in Aruba). I just recently bought an Insteon Hub for home automation for numerous devices in the house (lamps, gas fireplace, etc). Works great.
