Is it a too big jump?

A quick update...looked pretty hard on few 340As and got really close on buying one but long story short insurance made me change my mind. I bought a T210M with G500, GTN750, JPI900, STEC 55X, and 796 panel mounted and flew 20 hours so far. Love it. Insurance costs me $3900 annually and only 5...

looking for a CFI in Kansas City Area

No I am not. just send a request to join the group. Thank you for that information! Talked to the insurance company that can waive the requirement of CFI having 50 hours with 340 if I have that single CFI as instructor for the total 50 hours dual time.

looking for a CFI in Kansas City Area

Hi, Trying to find a CFI who has at least 1500 hours, 500 in multi, and 50 with Cessna 340 (This is an open pilot requirement by insurance. If I add the CFI as one named pilot covered by insurance, they can waive the 50 hours time with 340) in Kansas City Area for my multi rating training. The...

    Air-to-Air Cessna P210

Hi Jack, Great picture! Do you have an AC on board? I am looking for a P210 now that does not have AC in it. want to find out how long it takes to cool down inside the cabin at 6-8000 level during a hot summer day. Thank you!

Is it a too big jump?

I am looking at both normally aspirated 210 and P210 now. Has anyone had any experience with a P210 that has no AC in it? How long it will take to cool down during a hot summer day given it is pressurized, that means less cool air coming into cabin even you are at 8000 altitude. The regular 210...

Is it a too big jump?

it all depends on my schedule. I can fly 2-3 hours everyday if I need to. want to keep flying and stepping up on higher performance later on. got one child out of college already and close by us. I know most of time it will only carry 2 or 4, and for 5 it might be once or twice a year for family...

Is it a too big jump?

I am based in Midwest so flying over high mountains or vast open water might be a rare mission, although flying my family to Bahamas for a vacation has been on my bucket list. Now I am leaning towards a 310 or 210 just trying to make sure I will have enough payload to carry 5 and luggage with...

Is it a too big jump?

Thank you all! It seems a 310R or a 210 becomes a wiser choice. Is there any big difference maintenance wise between 310 and 340? Any suggestions between a P210 and 210 or TC210...obviously a pressurized 210 requires higher maintenance cost, but is it worth the money for the extra comfort?

Is it a too big jump?

I am planning to take 25 hours training for it if I ended up getting a 340, so I can become an insurance qualified pilot. Budgeting $20k/year for maintenance for 340, not sure it is high or low? For single engine, I am not sure there is any other choices but a 210 given the 1500-1600 useful...

Is it a too big jump?

Hi, new here. Trying to get some help from the community here and hope getting some insights from those who had similar experiences in their past. I am a rookie pilot with 180 hours with private and instrument ratings and only 30 hours in high performance and complex in a Comanche 250. My...

Good compression or not - TSIO 520NB RAM VI?

I do not know how they did the compression test and type of cylinders they used for Overhaul. Just wondering why the compression seems low at such low hours by only looking through the log book. I am trying to buy it so don’t know this is a red flag or not before I go any further. Thank you!
