My friend works on VOR's for the FAA out of Richmond, VA. He said they're not fixing them any longer. Once they're gone, they're gone. Just food for thought.

This is my biggest area of concern. Not only for others, but myself. I'm lucky in that what I fly (1998 C172R) has GPS and I can just look over. Still, I find myself saying I'm 10 or 5 miles out, but not being precise about whether it's West or slightly NW etc... One persons...

47 hours here. I've completed everything except the 150 mile XC and the nighttime XC with my CFI. We're going to try and knock that out this week. Checkride is coming up soon!
