    Dynon For the Win!

Too bad about the autopilot, I've been eyeballing the DynonCertified for a while now. It seems they're really dragging their feet on the Autopilot side.

    Abandoning Garmin Pilot for Avare

Indeed, iFly does Geo-Ref and the whole she-bang. Great vertical planning setup as well.

Have you ever flown a (real) published missed approach to a hold?

KACT, flew the dme arc, on final was handed to tower. Tower cleared me for a circling approach to 35 even though traffic was straight in. I questioned him and he repeated circling 35 to me. Halfway downwind he asked what I was doing, told him circling for 35. "Oh crap, fly published missed...

    KADS parking

Have to fly up to KADS for a couple hours thursday and don't want to be hit with crazy fees from the 2 FBOs there. I've read both are pretty expensive. Any good places to park for a couple of hours? Somebody suggested over by the museum off Taxiway U.

    Best tablet for Garmin Pilot

I agree that Apple has much more support from the major vendors simply because of version parity of the OS. In my book, the features weren't worth giving up my android, which has many other redeeming qualities. It might be different if I only used my tablet for flying, but I don't see the...

Incorrect, you are not required to have the latest version of Android to update to the latest GP. If you've ever written an android application you would know that rarely ever are you required to be running the latest version of Android. Most apps are written against the least possible version...

GP logbook will track anything you need for commercial. Things I like about the GP logbook are the auto-log feature of recording flight info for each log entry. Endorsement signatures, CFI can sign on your tablet any endorsements needed. Personally, the reason I chose GP logbook vs all the...

    Best tablet for Garmin Pilot

As of the latest GP Android release there are only very few features that are not completely mirrored. The features missing from GP Android are: Ability to mark-up or draw on charts Vertical profile view of flight plan for terrain/ vertical planning Obviously since you don't get the profile...

Roll output from Garmin G5 to Century autopilot

G5 is just the indicator, you'd need the GAD29B to take the CAN bus signal from the G5 and the GPS navigator (ARINC429) and interface it to the autopilot. GAD29B does support analog and digital (roll) commands. Sent from my SM-T397U using Tapatalk
