Which is harder to land? Tailwheel or Glider

They require different skills is all. I fly helicopters, tailwheel and am learning to fly gliders. Energy management is the most challenging thing about flying gliders. Learning to land takes more time because go-arounds and touch and goes are not "allowed."

    Drone question

Are there any commercial drones that can film an object in motion autonomously? Basically, fly formation with something that moves within its speed and maneuverability capability?

Evading interior border checkpoints by flying over them

First, get a helicopter, then drop them offshore on a "deep sea fishing charter."

    YouTube litigation question

That would be an example, although it seems to be mostly a warning. Just generally, demonstrations, flying odd aircraft, instruction, etc. Curious about litigation based on YouTube posts.

    YouTube litigation question

I did a general search and found nothing, which was probably an answer, but... Has there ever been successful litigation of a YouTube poster because a viewer attempted to replicate the video and was "damaged" as a result. I see some of the aviation videos showing difficult but legal maneuvers...

    Flight Suits

I bought a pair for the pockets. Never been able to be seen in public with them. When I took off the last official one many years ago, I swore I would never wear them again. I do wish someone would make a better pair of cargo pants, preferably with the leg pockets.

Anyone lose it and keep it off . . .

Over many years I've gone from 238 to 152. Tried most diets at least a little. Counting calories worked, I called it my 3x5 diet since I wrote everything I ate down on a 3x5 card I kept in my shirt pocket. About a year ago I read about the Bredesen protocol to reverse or reduce the likelihood of...

    Broward County Police Copter Down

A comment not a conjecture - TR loss of control at a high power setting makes for a difficult autorotation.

Is there an ePub version of the PHAK available?

For a very small amount of $ you can buy a kindle version from Amazon.

Flight training through a university (r-atp)

Consider Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro, TN. Many of their students are CFIs working for the university parttime in their Junior and Senior years. Before you decide on a school, find out how quickly you can expect to start flying.

Headset Recommendation for 13 year old

If he's used to ear things, consider the Halo: http://www.quiettechnologies.com/ I let my pax use my Bose and wear my Halo, even in an open cockpit biplane. Way more comfortable. Just make sure he finds the right ear piece and inserts it correctly. Trial period available.

    Older pilots and basic med

I am a little surprised that they don't define a "flight review" specifically for their purpose and require it from "approved" CFIs on a frequent basis. TT last 12 months seems so ridiculously inadequate as a measure of competence.

    Taildragger for 1400' of grass

If you fit, the Citabria 7GCBC would work, but slightly over budget. 160HP preferred, 150 would work. The 180 might have a payload problem.

    MiroCopter

Best I can tell, I'm about 30 days away from getting my Mirocopter. I can hardly wait.

    AFib

AFib is an SI that requires at least a Holter monitor and possibly a stress test. Perhaps some time as will. I really can't address the FAA with any real knowledge, I had an arrhythmia that required annual 24 hour Holter monitoring for about five years. Then the FAA said let us know if anything...
