Bought a clarity aloft headset this past summer and just can't go back to over ear headsets, so this one needs to go.
My original S1 had a problem with the noise cancelling, so I sent it in to Sennheiser to be repaired, they ended up sending me a brand new headset instead of repairing the...

I switched to Garmin Pilot earlier this year after using ForeFlight. The latest version of GP has really come a long way in the past year and a half or so.
Plus is pairs with my D2 watch, which is a nice bonus.

Just picked this up and tested it with my handheld, it works perfectly and costs less than 1/4 of the purpose built cables I've seen around aviation retailers.

Technology improves, that's what it does, Moore's law and such. It's not some sinister plan by the tech companies to screw you out of money. :rolleyes:
Technology has always advanced leaving the old stuff outdated and unable to run the newest programs, this isn't anything new and far from being just an Apple thing.
Don't like it then buy paper charts again and update those every 6 months.
Except that experimental aircraft are held to a much lower safety and quality control standard than commercially available road worthy vehicles. No government crash testing, no emissions standards, no real fit and finish expectations, etc.
