How to be a safety pilot?

No. I think they just take a long time to respond to any question. I have two questions submitted about a 10 months ago. Nothing but a note saying expect an answer in about 4 months (which time was passed about 6 months back).

O'Hare UFO Sighting in November 2006

Some guys claim to have the body of a BigFoot from Georgia, too. Something else for the OP to look into.

    Circle to Land at Minimums

I remember one post by a guy who was in IR training, and they did an ILS close to minimums. They get on the ground and the CFI-I says, that was his first time taking an ILS to minimums before breaking out. I went through training with a professional CFI-I, not someone who just passed last week...

Ok. Anyone who is NOT real, identify yourself!

    What is it?

I am going with noise reduction. I understand that the Border Patrol drones have a 6 blade prop and a long exhaust to remain undetected. This could be to reduce noise in the cabin for the traffic reporter so he can talk on camera live.

    Circle to Land at Minimums

At TIW the LOC 17 and circle-to-land 35, has a lower minimum than the NDB 35. So if the wind favors using 35 then the circle has a better chance of getting you in than the NDB. Often in training. Once close to minimums.

    Last Flight - Question

I took my mother up when she was 86, and had two broken wrists. [long story, fall at her sisters] We were on our way to see my brother. Helped her on the wing holding her elbows. Put her in the back seat first, I got in, and my wife in the right seat. I did not want her sitting in the door...

    Boots vs TKS?

What about running exhaust in ABS pipe out to the wing tips, in the leading edge? Is that done? I understand the Predator drone runs exhaust to the tail as part of the noise control, in ABS or similar light pipe.

    Enter partnership?

Big drop on #6. Perhaps the annual will tell you something, if you find metal in the filter, etc. I have been in a partnership for about 3 years, no problems, no engine reserve for the reasons indicated above by iHover. Buy-in is valued at 25% if the plane value with the TSMO and TT it has...

Bay Area airport to use for new home base?

I think SQL is where Air-West is, for repair work. They did our OH and we felt they were fair and responsive. No idea about hangar space though.

    Chop and drop

Richard did say, "Not more than 30 seconds later I'm mid-field left traffic for 26L and I look below me to see the Cessna at what must've been CTL min alt." I assume he likely could distinguish a twin or Citation from a C-172, but some of the other fast Cessna models may not be so easy from...

    Chop and drop

Well now, could that have been a Cessna with tail number something like N-XX172 ? Wouldn't that become "Cessna 172", and could that be a twin or even a jet?

    DUAT/DUATS etc.

I use it all the time. Great tool for the brief as well as to file the flight plan. And you quickly learn what stuff you need. Like the FDC and D NOTAMS for the area and your destination and alternate. Most of my flights are local, and I like getting the area weather right after the update...
