    Branson, MO Seneca accident

As I read this thread my uncle called me and said a plane had crashed into his storage unit in Branson. This would not have been a big thing for him except they were in the middle of moving and had 35 years of everything they owned in the unit. As he said he feels terrible for the crash victims...

    Civil Air Patrol

Well I'm sitting here going through my accountants summary of my personal and business taxes. First of all I would like to meet the family of six that I have been supporting all these years. Then I would like to meet the family of four that the family of six is supporting based upon my support...

It wasn't Katrina, but it was enough for me....

Ended my midlife crises and started my aviation career at that FBO several years ago. Met alot of good folks, have alot of interesting stories and made alot of good friends at that field. Chip and I were out there Sunday afternoon visiting with Pat (tripacer) and supervising the prop install on...

"Students will be obliged to commit to a financing program, much like taking out a college loan." " Apply for your Martin Aviation Platinium VISA Card Today." I got this far on the web site and the above was all I needed to see.

OK, so now how about ice?

Great thread gang. Ice should command as much respect as a level 5 thunderstorm. Visit the links section on POA and take the NASA online Ice course. Excellent information. Please invest the time to take this course. fly safe, Doug

4 day layover in Naples FL.

We usually don't have this much time in one location so I'm going to try and take advantage of it. End of Feb will be in Naples for about 4 days. Anybody know of locations in the Naples Fl area that offer tailwheel rentals/training or something unique to fly. Want to do some fun flying. thx.

    Baron Lost

There is a great story behind that picture that needs to be told. It involves a calm pilot and dang good pilot skills. I have to tell you though I have seen that picture several times and this is the FIRST time I have noticed that burn spot on the fuselage. Man that thing was burning from the...

    Airline Hiring? What the???

I guess I'm speaking out of both sides of my mouth on this subject regarding 121 airlines. I can understand a 1st and 2nd year F.O. not making much of a salary until they gain the time and knowledge, but after that the pay scale should go up dramatically. Unfortunately it does not keep pace...

    Airline Hiring? What the???

The whole situation amazes me. Can anyone shed some light on this subject? You have just entered the world of part 121 anti logic. In this world eager flyers gladly accept poverty wages, fly for free or worse yet pay for time just to acquire the title of "I'maairlinepilot". This world of...

Tools and space requirements to build

Bill, good luck to ya. I hope you decide that you can build one. They are an excellent airplane. For me the day of reality was when I wrote out the 20 something thousand dollar check and paper clipped it to the order form to be faxed off. I had that gut feeling of ..ok make sure this is what...
