    Fatal: walked into prop

That is what I do (not the rope part). My question was specifically directed towards those who advocate to never touch the prop. My assumption is that there is no way around it in this scenario, but I'm always willing to learn of somebody has a practical way to turn the prop out of the way of...

    Fatal: walked into prop

On the Archer that I fly regularly, the prop almost always stops vertically, so without physically moving it, it is in the way of the tow bar. I'm genuinely curious, for the people who advocate to never touch or get near the prop, how would you handle the situation I described?

    Expanding a Flying Club

I really appreciate all the feedback. I'll be bringing a summary of the discussion to the next board meeting.

    Expanding a Flying Club

Fortunately, we have not had any issues upgrading our planes when we are in the financial position to do so, as these decisions are made by the board of directors on behalf of the general membership.

    Expanding a Flying Club

Yes, we have been discussing how we would proceed if we were to expand the membership. It would likely be spread out over the course of several months. Maybe 2 members per month, or 5 one month and 5 a few months later. The club is quite diverse. We've had people come in, train like crazy, and...

    Expanding a Flying Club

Hey guys. The club I'm a part of is currently having discussions about potentially expanding the number of members, primarily based on the significant amount of interest in the club over the past two years. We are currently at capacity with 90 members (averaging ~30 members flying in any given...

172 Crash near KFWN (Sussex County)

That's a tough one to watch. What I can't get my head around is what made him break off the first approach, twice at exactly the same spot both times. The approach looked perfect before he did that on both attempts. I know he said his GPS wasn't working but that doesn't explain the fact that the...

    Are Complex Aircraft Obsolete?

I'd be impressed by it actually climbing at a reasonable rate with a couple of people on board. Going from the Dakota in our club to the Arrow always catches me off guard when taking off because I have a lot more time to stare at the trees in front of me.

    Fatal Cub Crash, WI

That's my experience as well. Flying Archers and Warriors for most of my time as a pilot, I had to consciously train myself pay more attention to the rudder since the adverse yaw is almost imperceptible from the front seats in normal turns.

    Fatal Cub Crash, WI

I always find that odd as well, as I've never once felt inclined to increase my rate of turn with the rudder. It just seems counterintuitive to me. Maybe it's because I played flying video games as a kid and never owned a boat, so it never really occurred to me that anybody would think to turn a...

Instrument Departure - Cleared into the B?

I don't think it's just CFIs that drill this into our heads. I've been to several seminars hosted by ATC, the most recent being at Oshkosh on Saturday, and that is exactly how they worded it... "You must hear, 'cleared into the xyz bravo' in order to enter and if you don't, you should query us...

    Flying in the high mountains

Same RPM but less air to bite, therefore less thrust produced is my understanding.

    So speaking of shortages

Ok, fine... Instead of guns to hunt bacon in Texas, how about a couple of Dogo Argentinos? These guys can't offend anyone, right?

    When is entry completed?

I think the issue is that you haven't provided any context prior to this post regarding where the question is coming from. Since there seems to be no practical reason to know the answer to the question, I think there is a sincere curiosity into the background of the question in order to attempt...
