I think its a android thing, I had the same problem, Garmin and Samsung said it was a soft ware problem that does not have an up grade. sorry its a little late I just read your post,hope it helps.

Does your unit have to be sent out by a repair shop for upgrades or can you send it to garmin your self?

Does any one know if Garmin is still upgrading the 330 to 330es? and if so will it be worth the upgrade?
