Latest iPad Pro Vs Air? - 2022 Models

I just ventured in to this thread as i'm considering a new iPad. I'm a CFI/CFII/MEI. I've used the Mini 5 for a few years. I have a yoke mount and a suction mount. I moved to the yoke mount when i began ifr training. The mini is great in the cockpit of GA airplanes. Now i mostly keep it on...

Getting ready for multi checkride - grill me!

OP, good luck. The ME ride isn't that bad. Know the basic systems: Landing gear, Prop, Fuel, and Electrical. Make sure you know about VMC and can explain it. I don't know the ACS for the Private ME, but for Commercial ME add on, my ride consisted of: short field take off and landing...

you don't have to land, but you need to shoot it down to the published mins. Even circling mins on an ILS will count.

Why the hold is so high

my guess is it's likely because they want you very clear of the high terrain just to the south if/when you decide to re-try the approach. From WAITR, you have a course and altitude published with plenty of time (6.9miles) to descend back to the IAF at or above 3200'. From there it's a simple...

CFII here. My experience with a task saturated students is they cannot tell that they are dropping things. You can even say something to them and often early in their training, they won't even acknowledge that you are speaking to them during the high work load phases of the approach. IFR...

Plane in wires near KGAI (Montgomery County, MD)

if accurate, i'm guessing he will have a hard time finding insurance on his next airplane

that one is brutal. I think the FAA makes it a weed out course. Shepard air is your savior for that exam.

Plane in wires near KGAI (Montgomery County, MD)

agreed 100%. What happens is you get so far behind the airplane (easy to do in a mooney under hard IMC) that it won't matter what electronic gadgetry you have, not to mention a radio warning from ATC that you're too low. Your mind simply cannot process any more information. I've seen this...

For the OP, I used Shepard Air for the commercial written exam prep. Then get the ASA Commercial Oral Checkride book and read it end to end. You will need to know a lot more than just O2 requirements. The commercial ticket is all VFR and the examiner will be evaluating your ability to safely...
