    Should and Shall are very different. Recommend and Required are as well. I use my type so everyone knows I'm coming in at twice their speed. Common sense goes very far on the CTAF.

    Another constant speed prop question

    Unless doing maneuvers, flying slow, or so low that the MP is out of the parameters on the POH for 75%, I am always full throttle and pulling back on the prop to obtain the desired HP. Naturally aspirated. I fly over or under squared if the engine manufacturer tells me I can.

    Twin Commander. Rudder the size of a hangar door, very docile, and very forgiving. Lands almost as short as a 172 and 150' shorter than a 210! :) Love mine

    In my opinion a simple knee board is an absolute must if you are flying anywhere away from your airport. You need to write down frequencies, clearances, runways, etc. That is the way it is in Southern California anyway.
