    FAQ for other site names?

Well... I am ordained and overweight, so that actually pegged me perfectly. :cheerswine: :D Now that one is right on. :cornut: Used to call it the Green Board when I was a student over there...both from the color at the time, and the topic. I thought it was cute, but some folks considered...

    ghosts on the new monitor

Does it have an "auto-adjust" in the menu? This often fixes some issues.

    STOP and goes?

I'm a little late to this party, as far as the OP goes...but I did/do Stop and Goes rather often. Either for night currency (since my normally flying takeoffs are usually too early) and for spacing if I'm gaining on the traffic in front, as it's an easy adjustment. That said, I'm usually in...

    Poor airport cat.

That is an awesome dog! Cats seem to get along pretty well too...it's amazing: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xC7F0dx31b0 (or some impressive kitties with only two http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v6jxiEwXaW4 and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m4m6NPG43sM ) Sometimes seem like they are better...

    What does this signal mean?

I don't know... I uh, may know someone who has been sending email on a blackberry, while eating a burrito..in a standard. I only type at red lights though. Drives my other half nuts. I've been involved in a few accidents that were considered my fault...but those all involved gross stupidity...

Awsome new price for Dogs Don't Fly

Sigh. To the OP if you're reading this...I'm sure you've seen Scott Dennstaedt's weather posts on all the different aviation boards. If not, find them. That is how you promote yourself in forums online...you have to offer something valuable, offer a lot of it for free, and just be a "normal"...

CC is the best passive aggressive tool today!

Yeah, agree with both. (being on all the sides of this stuff) Usually, when I need to CC in someone above, I'll create an excuse for it that is "legitamate" so it doesn't seem to be a punishment... ie: "IT VP, once <annoying guy> is done, we'll be able to move on the Project 233 we discussed...

    What does this signal mean?

Around here, people try to do the same thing...but without the conviction. Just a "quick start" without really trying will sometimes trap them blocking traffic in the intersection. Or they get t-boned by someone barely running the red. I was once the lucky car flying through the intersection...

    What does this signal mean?

I had one incredible karma moment... Was driving in the right lane, at least a car length ahead of a car in the left lane. Needed to turn left at the light. For some reason, decided to slow down and go in behind him "just to be courteous" even though I wouldn't have been cutting him off. Got...

Guitar Hero has ruined classic rock. :-(

I hear the drums (in Rock Band) on the highest level are fairly realistic. (at least, as compared to the guitars)

Funniest thing you've heard on the radio?

Two first-hand from my limited experience: Me: Tower, Diamond N1234 5nm North, inbound full-stop with Kilo Tower: Diamond N1234 cleared for takeoff, 17R I didn't consider that "communications established. :) (And listening a little longer, we actually circled back away and called in about 5...

    Beach Airports (or close)

I've heard nice things about KRAS on the gulf coast...planned for one of my next trips.

    Batteries: Does the brand matter?

Ah, true. Didn't get that. (The eneloop's are the best I've personally found in this regard...could be better...and all my applications for them involve "active" use. )

    Batteries: Does the brand matter?

I use Sanyo eneloop NiMH rechargeables in everything...and they have been wonderful. Have this per-cell AA/AAA charger: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0002IOIMQ First thing to do, is throw out the included Sony batteries...they will self-discharge in 24 hours. Awful. Then, get the...

Aerial geohashing anyone? (And, first geohash attempt report.)

I tried by just using a waypoint with no course in the 530, and then when near, switching to the lat/long text-only view and making it from a diagonal angle...was a bit harder than I expected it to be. Of course, if you're doing it on Sat at 4pm in a popular and accessible area, you can do...
