    Tailbeacon opinions

    I've been checking with Uavionix every month or two on the TailbeaconX certification. Man, when they get the FAA to move their caboose (I assume that's where the holdup is), they will sell the crap out of those. I *almost* would preorder one...but I'm not too keen to do that in this industry.

    Zenith 601...2 questions

    We haven't got that far yet, but it is N-numbered and has about 100 hours of flight time. I don't know yet why the hours are so low. But to the question...what is a reliable way to visually confirm the mods have been made? It's clear the current owner is not a good source of info in this regard.

    How can you visually confirm the the wing modifications have been made? I'm considering a very old 601 and don't know what to look for. I asked the owner, who "found it in a barn" a year ago and has never flown it. He said he had not heard about the wing problem.
