    Cheapest Twin on EBay Down

You're right - the PIC didn't NEED to fly it that day. Likely felt some pressure, though: "The purpose of the flight was to deliver the airplane to its new owner." Has to do with a failure to do a preflight, which has killed pilots whether or not 'on YouTube'. Especially after maintenance...

    Cheapest Twin on EBay Down

That's pretty wild speculation, especially since witnesses quoted the pilot as saying he was in a hurry because he had a return flight. "According to company and airport employees at Chester County G. O. Carlson Airport (MQS), the pilot arrived around 1230 and made it clear that he was “in a...

    Cheapest Twin on EBay Down

I don't think this accident has anything to do with YouTube. The report indicates that repairs were made the day of the flight: The work included, but was not limited to, propeller governor rigging (both sides), the left side fuel quantity indicating system, alternator, alternator switch, and...

    Cheapest Twin on EBay Down

I didn't get the impression they were skimping on anything safety related on any of their work. An A&P IA had to sign off on anything being done, but I guess we'll see what the NTSB says...

NA - Living trust for real estate

We bemoan the existence of the 'Corporate Farm', and the demise of the family farm, without realizing that the reason for such is the existence of inheritance tax (a.k.a. the 'Death Tax'). Family farms grow smaller and smaller in size because the next generation has to sell off land to pay the...

Who here lives in Eastern Pennsylvania?

I'm in northwestern Northampton County, so about 20 minutes from KABE. Good place to live.

Who here lives in Eastern Pennsylvania?

I mean, I live in the Lehigh Valley, and I would MUCH rather make a trip to Newark than I would to Philthadelpia ...Just saying.... As to the OP's reasons - maybe an airline pilot based out of EWR?

Who here lives in Eastern Pennsylvania?

Home prices have been higher than I think they should be. Bethlehem Township is pretty nice, as is Forks Township, Hanover Township. Easy access to Rt 22/33/78, which all get you to EWR pretty quickly. KABE is good to fly GA from, and there's quite a few other airports around. Hangar...

    Wireless interaction

I dunno....As much as I like the portability of 'wireless' devices, they're flakey enough that I still prefer my computer hard-wired to a proper ethernet switch, when reliability counts. That being said, there's just not enough volume in avionics to come up with something like 'ethernet' for...

    Single sensor, two indicators?

A problem with analog sensor/sending units feeding multiple gauges is that they are typically resistance based, and adding a second gauge to the circuit changes the resistance, throwing off the gauge readings.

    Concorde RG-35AXC Battery Terminals

I also have a 140b. When I was having issues with starting, I did the Concorde RG-35AXC, and also cleaned every cable end. Also put this kit in, which made more difference than anything else: Bogert Battery Box Mod

    Alternator info?

Not too much useful information to contribute, but many of the alternators are essentially Chrysler alternators. Why aviation didn't move to internally regulated like automotive is a mystery. OK, maybe not....FAA.... If your aircraft is experimental, you may have the option to move to an...

737 Hard Landing at John Wayne

Higher speed to compensate for winds? Wind sheer? Video at link "An Alaska Airlines flight made a hard landing amid Tropical Storm Hilary late Sunday, shooting sparks on the runway at John Wayne Airport in Southern California. Terrified passengers screamed as Flight 1288 from Seattle to...
