I''m looking for a quick way to see which airports I can use when entering the US from Canada.
I think it's all the airports listed here https://www.cbp.gov/contact/ports , but it's a bit cumbersome to have to look where every they are all located. My US geography knowledge is not that great...
That shows a map of the US, but the location of the ports aren't shown on the map. At least not here in my chrome browser. You can click on the states and it lists you the airports, but you have to look up every airport to know where it's ocated.
I was hoping for a map with dots showing where...
Good morning,

Jeppesen quote: 1800 EUR
Garmin quote for the same: 800 USD
Quite the difference! I wouldn't go as far as to call Garmin cheap, but... Anyway, thanks for the suggestion though!

I was unaware of that. I know you could pay extra to get the jeppesen charts in the Garmin, but are you saying there is an option to get an actual Jeppesen navigation database in there? If so, how? I couldn't find it in my Garmin account.
That might be a solution for me, but I wouldn't help...
I am wondering what the real reason is as well. I would find it hard to believe size would be the issue. These airports don't have approach charts or other big data. A line of text could contain all the info needed. That should be insignificant. Even the databases for more modern GPS systems...
Hi all,
I recently learned that Garmin intentionally filters out private airports from their database.

I must say I was pretty annoyed when I heard about this. I fly to small private fields regularly. An old crappy GPS will...
