You're right. 5 minutes to my friend's house in Westhampton.

Its not far. Just like it is not far on LIE from NYC to Hamptons but it can take 3 1/2 hours to drive.

I fly into FOK but it can be an hour to drive to East Hampton. I'm just going to Westhampton which is about 5 minutes.

I hope they expand Montauk. Rumours are that Blade bought it and they fly helicopters from NYC to the Hamptons.

Judge blocked the privatization of the East Hampton airport so the town wants to close it now. Interested parties have just bought Montauk Airport to make sure they have a place to operate out of.

I printed out a large picture of the instrument panel to study it. I memorized the name of each instrument, function and location. Maybe overkill but that’s what worked for me.

i fly out of BVY with Avier Flight School. They are usually open until 6 pm. Were you at the hanger with a small porch? The airport manager's office closes earlier. That is the building next to the control tower.

Sounds like waiting for the GAMI G100UL might be better than the UL94. All avgas planes could use G100UL but only low compression planes can use UL94.

Got an answer from Falmouth Airpark. UL94 is available now, $7.15 a gallon. 100LL is $4.45.
