Does Foreflight typically offer good deals at SNF? Or meh?

yeah - after i clicked on the renew link and gave up, i got an email offering the 15 for 12 month deal if i upgraded to perf plus. i ended up doing it - i was curious to see what it looked like, and it's an OK deal - get 15 months at $19/mo for perf plus vs 12 months @ $16/month for the middle...

Does Foreflight typically offer good deals at SNF? Or meh?

My current subscription ends on Monday, April 12. I'll be at SNF on Tuesday, April 13. If there's a good chance at a nice deal/promotion I'll hustle down using only my 430w + old avidyne MFD + paper plates, and renew the subscription there - i don't know, free Jepp charts with premium, or free...

    Operating a turbo-charged engine like a turbo-normalized engine.

231 owner (with intercooler + merlyn wastegate) 1. That's take off power. And 30" will not get you off the ground fast enough, so no, just do what the POH tells you to do: 100% power, full RPM, mixture rich. Same for climb, on an intercooled TSIO-360-LB, climb power is around 33"/2600 RPM - can...

First time in the clouds and I gave up

A lot of people talk about putting foggles on. I found that in hard IMC, in a climb, being bounced around by whatever the hell is happening inside that cloud, fumbling to find foggles is not particularly easy/safe. When I get disoriented (and I do - especially when you "see" the clouds going...

    SkyVector?

I just tried it - it works but only if you're using SV on the ipad or your phone... which defeats the purpose of using SV in the first place I guess :-( I think you can email the flight plan in FF format to yourself though from the computer - haven't tried that. Too many hoops

    SkyVector?

You are correct - FF web does have plates, but it's so hard to get to them and then they open in a new window yatta yatta. If I need a quick lookup Skyvector is unbeatable in my opinion... On the ipad on the other hand, FF is the bomb. SO easy, so intuitive, so fast...

    SkyVector?

FF web interface is clunky and doesn't have plates. I use FF in the cockpit or when filing/getting a briefing on the computer. For quick route planning, procedure lookup etc. I always use Skyvector - it's SO MUCH faster than FFWeb

    Aircraft for sale, no registration?

Social distancing can be very productive :-)

    Aircraft for sale, no registration?

yeah - I meant Kenny's #3 scenario is probably right. N number is valid

    Aircraft for sale, no registration?

I zoomed in on the visor and you can barely make out the N number on the reflection from the panel. I then searched the FAA N-number database for all M20Cs made in 1968 with a registration starting that looked like N67*2* * which is as far as I could make out from the lo-res image...
