    Looking for old WAC charts

I'm not sure if they have WAC charts, but check out UTexas's page: https://legacy.lib.utexas.edu/maps/jog/

    Best route thru Old Mexico?

I flew to Argentina in 2018: https://www.pilotsofamerica.com/community/threads/flying-in-argentina.126798/ The easiest way, if you have the range, is via the Caribbean. The only countries that required prior permission were Brazil (done via their web site), and Cuba, which was an optional...

Video-I Bought a Pitts S1S and Flew it Across the Country!

Good job man, on getting the plane, and on the video itself. I'm curious how you made the parts with Google Earth where it has your route shown in yellow, and the runway outlined, and some areas outlined in red. For example at 4:58, and also at 9:24. I hope you got the free burritos at the...

Covid Vaccine Poll - How Long Will You Wait?

Kind of like the new version of Foreflight. Maybe I'll wait until the .1 release.

    Columbia 350 questions:

One difference is the ventral fin on the 400 is larger. The 350 may not even have a ventral fin. Compare the area below the rudder: Columbia 350 Columbia 400:

    Columbia 350 questions:

I'm not sure if you're talking about a Columbia, but if you are, your statement about stalls is false. Maybe you were talking about a Lancair 4 or something. Here's a video from about 10 years ago where Darryl Taylor demonstrates stalls in a Columbia 300. He has the stick pulled all the way...

Flight to Santa Fe to fly a T-34 mentor

First part of the video is the flight from Austin to Santa Fe to visit Larry Salganek at Jetwarbird.com. The last 1/3 of the video is taking off in his T-34 mentor... unfortunately my GoPro overheated so it didn't get the aerobatics part of the flight.

    Flying in Argentina

I just published the next video, where we fly from Ushuaia up the east coast to Buenos Aires, Argentina. Hope you like it!

    Flying in Argentina

I've visited El Chalten and did the day hike, catching a view of Mt. Fitz Roy, and we may have seen it on the flight to Calafate but we weren't sure. It's amazing that no human climbed Mt. Fitz Roy until 1952: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fitz_Roy In any case, I hope to get back to...

    Flying in Argentina

The island of Tierra del Fuego* is a "special customs zone"... so we had to land at the international airport first, go through "customs", and then we flew 0.7 miles to the aeroclub. The Aeroclub is actually the old main airport (before they built the new one). Same thing when we left (next...

    Flying in Argentina

And interestingly, I just found this old 2014 thread where I posted here asking "Anyone flown in Argentina?" - https://www.pilotsofamerica.com/community/threads/anyone-flown-in-buenos-aires-argentina.69603/

    Flying in Argentina

In 2018 I flew from Texas to Argentina in a Columbia 400. Recently I've been putting that old footage & ATC audio together into videos. Here are the first 3, covering our trip from central Argentina down to Ushuaia:
