Proof! Traffic jams are required by law!

Ah, but there's the rub. You're not FORCED to travel those toll roads. You're merely ENCOURAGED to travel them. The legal beagles would be the only winners in that case, I'm afraid.

    Argh! Frickin' old people!

Amen. They're passing more stringent driving laws for young folks here in AZ but letting the Bluehairs run around without renewing or testing. Heck, my own drivers license doesn't expire until 2033! I'll be 65 by then but sheesh. That's a LONG time.

    Ferrets

Just like the nieces and nephews. Fun to have visit but happy enough to send them home. ;)

    iPhone Question

A friend's iPhone had an option for "Exchange Server" mail. Not sure if it was a pure MAPI connection or an ActiveSync type connection (which actually connects on 443 as https). I suspect the former since the ActiveSync technology would have to be licensed from Microsoft. That's a guess, though.

    Ferrets

Rat + excessive gerbil smell + ADD^2 + hyped up caffeine junkie = ferret. Have fun with that.

Thanks, Ted. I think I'm going to investigate the VStrom for right now. My truck is 2-wheel drive and I really don't need much true offroad capability. Most of the terrain I work in is slot canyons and mesas where vehicles really don't work well anyway. Great feedback from everyone. Thanks!

That's a nice bike. $7,000+ for new is more than I wanted to spend but I'll see what's available on the used market. Thanks!

    (NA) Motorcycle advice

Good question. Yes, I would expect a Ford Taurus to be able to go on the same tracks. It might get hung up in a few spots but, overall, the road conditions would allow a sedan to get through before the feet kicked in. Daily commutes are 8 miles one way. Occasional side trips but average...

    (NA) Motorcycle advice

It's been years since I've ridden but driving this diesel tank (2000 F250 SD) to work is killing the budget. I just filled it at $150. Thankfully it will last me a few weeks but still...$80 would have done the same thing a few years ago. So I'm in the market for a motorcycle. I'm not a...

According to their website, you need Blackberry Internet Service for any of those features. Uh, ANY downtime on a service used like that WORLDWIDE is unacceptable. RIM outages don't affect just BES users, either. And outages backlog all of the incoming data which causes further slowdowns...

    iPhone Killer

And every time they tell us the problem is fixed, it happens again with a different cause. My current employer uses Blackberry's enterprise software. It locks up frequently, is expensive, and users cannot fully sync the calendar (for whatever reason). And they STILL use Exchange for their...

    iPhone Killer

Blackberries weren't really designed as consumer products. They were designed for government and business customers. They're strong points are constant delivery of e-mail and other enterprise sourced data to the mobile user in the field. That requires the RIM service. It requires the RIM...

    iPhone Killer

My biggest issue with the RIM products is their proprietary data services. Everything HAS to be routed through their network and back out to the carriers. When (not if) RIM has an outage, it's major problems. With a Windows Mobile platform and Exchange back on the enterprise side, the only...
