Setting Hobbs after it went down

Ok, I guess it's a non-issue then. I will just keep continue the Hobbs from the point where it stopped and use the tach time for my Pilot logbook. thanks all.

Setting Hobbs after it went down

What happens when a hobbs meter goes down and thus stops recording. When you fix it, how do you know what to set it to? Would you do the same for calculating PIC time accumulated while hobbs was down?

Building a private strip in Mexico

After that it's a wash as far as state preference goes. I'm looking for beauty in the landscape and that could be mountains, desert or coast. Something that basically every state offers. I'd probably stay away from the perpetually wet zone around the narrow "neck" of southern Mexico.

Building a private strip in Mexico

Ideally off-grid, something where I can taxi to my house. On the coast in Jalisco, Colima, Michoacan, Guerrero, or Oaxaca.

Building a private strip in Mexico

Right. I'm in the process of figuring that out. At this point I am not sure. It is highly unlikely to be near the south-central, population dense areas around CDMX or the Yucatan peninsula. Is it your understanding that complexity would vary by state?

Building a private strip in Mexico

Yeah there's absolutely no way I'm going to beg for forgiveness on a clandestine airstrip in mexico. and there is most certainly a "legal" way to do it. mexico city will permit the strip. i'm not saying it's going to be easy or entail any logic in terms of the process, but it's possible and...

    Annual in Mexico

Do you know anything more about the IA in MMJC? I have made calls to dozens of shops in Mexico inquiring about an IA, but only been able to snag one so far (and that didn't come from a cold call). I'm in touch with an IA from MMAN but hoping to find one closer to me. If not, I'll go to MMAN...

    Annual in Mexico

Yes but he was not an IA, something I wouldn't do again. I can vet the IA from the last annual but he is 1200 miles away right now. Is that a "normal" thing asking someone to travel to perform an annual?
