    Aero Commander twins pros/cons

There must be someplace at KSUS that refurbs them - it seems like there's always a different one at a Signature tiedown every couple of weeks or so.

    I’m calling the peak

I can verify this is being done...I saw an ad for the plane I sold in 2022 and they used some of my pictures, too - plus one new one. Weird...I guess they liked mine and didn't think they could improve on them

    Piper Matrix

I've never been in a PA-46, but I was curious as to how bad the ingress/egress was to the front seats...and then I found this video: Getting in a Malibu Yikes! Still love the plane, though

Previously Owned Aircraft--Do you stalk them?

Yep, I keep getting FlightAware notices whenever my former Archer goes flying. The first purchaser flew it around in Texas periodically, and lately it appears to have been sold to a flight school in Arizona because it's going on multiple local flights a day, tracing wacky patterns in the sky...

    MO aircraft tax/policy

As far as the personal property tax, when I had a plane (hangared in MO & I lived in MO), I was taxed based on the rates where I lived. So maybe you'll pay PP tax to IL? Call the MO department of revenue to find out for sure.

    Grand Canyon tour

Same time of year for me & my wife in our Archer. Made it up to the altitudes, but I had to circle climb for a while to get there

    Cirrus and 3 small children

If it were me I wouldn't put 2 kids under one seatbelt...I can't imagine it would work out well in the event if a sudden stop. The early generation Cirri have only 2 seating positions in the rear; that was changed to 3 in later models but those may be out of your price range.

    What an epic trip!

What an experience -something you'll remember for years to come! Our epic trip was from St. Louis to Death Valley in our Archer. Although we sold the plane last year, we'll always remember that trip - it was awesome!!

    FAA vs Jeppersen charts

Great video, Martin! I used to think I liked the FAA charts better but after your comparison it looks like the Jepps are the way to go

    Possible starship spotted

I've seen a Starship parked at KSUS (Spirit of St Louis) a couple of times over the last two years...

    Osh for just one day

The one time I flew in it was for a single day. Spent the night in Madison & left early enough to time my arrival at OSH when the field opened. Parked in GA parking & spent the day nosing around. I skipped the airshow because that would have taken up a big chunk of the day. Got back to my plane...

Interesting adventures with rental planes & CFIs

We recently retired and need the money for other adventures :)

    Have aircraft sales/transactions slowed?

I don't think it's cooled off yet...I just closed on the sale of my Archer. It hit Trade A Plane at 9:30am last Monday and we had a buyer lined up by 10:00am the same day. And for almost 2x what I paid for it in 2015. This market is nuts! For once, though, things worked out in my favor...I...

Interesting adventures with rental planes & CFIs

I'm about ready to sell my Archer and hang up my flying hat soon, but I'd still like to do some interesting things aviation-related over the next few years. My wife will want to tag along, so we'll need room for 2 (plus a CFI). What sorts of things might be available to scratch my flying itch...
