Wherever y'all go know it's going to be disgustingly hot. For those with power challenged aircraft PLEASE watch your density altitude even at minor elevations. We lose somebody every year to this simple issue.

The guy at the FBO is the greatest. If you fly by Rushmore and Crazy Horse keep chatting on the radio. There are lots of helicopters etc. around and hard to see. Devils Tower nearby is cool too. Have fun!

There's an airport south east of Fresno that is along a river. it's just up in the foothills. try google earth on a few strips around there and you'll see the one I'm describing. very nice place to fly in, camp, fish etc. Kern Valley, I think....
