    and believe me if something bad had happened and the controller had NOT cleared you that way, HE wouldve been in deep kimche!

    That was my point. The controller shouldve indicated to you in some way about the glideslope being out, especially if you heard him say something about it to someone else. If there was no localizer approach published, he shouldve told you "cleared ILS rwy ( ) approach, glideslope unusable."

    ILG sure has a lot of NOTAMS. Still only took me about 3 mins to pinpoint the ones I would be concerned with that were applicable. I dont use the programs on ipads.     Okie...my subject is reference to getting NOTAMS...but since you brought it up, if you dont, and its considered wreckless by the FAA, then yes, FAR 91.13 would also apply!
