Just heard the news conference. It was Roy Halladay that was killed. RIP. He was a great pitcher, and good guy.

I have seen some of these at Grumman fly ins over the years. Yes, they are still around, but of course less of them.

You also have retractable gear, and a constant speed prop. For what many, if not most people want in a GA airplane the Grumman's stubby wings are a good compromise.

Maybe I missed it but what happened to the F-16 pilots? Was he held partially responsible? It sounds like it was ATC all the way, but they did throw in that the aircraft should have used equipment on board to avoid the collision. I'm assuming they mean the F-16's radar, or IFF?
