I think they will allow but may need a CFI checkout! I will find out.

I am finding it difficult to get mountain flying checkout here in the bay area - CFIs at local clubs are all booked up months in advance. I fly Cessna 172s and 150/152. Any advice here? May be a CFI who can help me in her/his plane, or I can rent one from my club! :-(
