    There are actually several manufacturers using the 915 in faster designs. Take a look at the Blackwing 635RG and the Risen. Those are two of the most efficient airplanes that I know of hitting 185 knots on 6GPH with the 915. Fixed pitch works fine as well but makes more sense on an aircraft...

    I was hoping for electric retractable slats and double slotted flaps to really push the envelope forward but oh well. The design is growing on me but I really don’t like the looks of the stubby nose when viewed from the side. A PBS TP100 would fix that nicely. :)

    LSA for tall folks?

    Tecnam P2008. Not the best visibility as the support structure will block your view out the left or right window but holy cow there’s a ton of leg room with the adjustable seats. My Dad is 6’2” with very long legs and he had tons of legroom.

    You can already buy a VL3 as an SLSA, it’ll just have to be fixed gear and propeller. But you can still get respectable speeds with the 915 fixed pitch propeller combination as Bristell has already shown hitting 145 knots true at altitude and still staying within ASTM consensus standards.

    Well you should be impressed because small turbine design won’t get any better than this. That’s the PBS TP100 until Turbotech releases a larger version. $150K FADEC 241SHP and weighs 157 pounds installed.
