    Ifly gps?

My avionics guy told me that when the GTX345 came out it touted having ADS-B in but Garmin gave no instruction for installers to set it up. He was a certified Garmin dealer, and told Garmin that is why people wanted to buy the GTX345. They finally sent him info on how to configure it. Still...

    Ifly gps?

If Garmin was customers oriented, they would provide a standard ADS-B data stream for other software vendors to read in to the devices. IFly GPS can access several other ADS-B IN devices.

    Ifly gps?

I have used iFly GPS for at least 15 years on both iOS and Android devices. I have never had a failure of the app. I have had an issue with my portable ADS-B device but that was resolved with a reboot. I use iFly for IFR and VFR flying with the multiple device option. I do wish I could use it...

    GTX345 AHRS and FltPlanGO

The issue was that the unit was not properly calibrated when installed (installer had several thing that were not done well). In the configuration, the AHRS was set for VERT = RWING which made it think it was installed upside down. New shop worked with me to get it set for LWING and it works...

    GTX345 AHRS and FltPlanGO

Thanks for responding. I was thinking that was the case. I had it in for the IFR cert/static check yesterday and asked them to check it. On the way home it still didn’t work but the guy that worked on it may not have done it. I will have that checked for sure.

    GTX345 AHRS and FltPlanGO

Has anyone used the AHRS on the GTX345 with FltPlanGO? I have been trying to get it to connect with FLTplanGO with no luck. I get traffic fine and all other info but the AH is Xed out.

    Non certified equipment in aircraft

Don’t carry your logbooks with you and unless the inspector is really up on all types of instrumentation, not likely it would be questioned and no wat to check on sight without logs.

    Kentucky Dam PoA fly-in... (M34 Apr 26-29) who's coming?

No! Kentucky is in New Mexico, so you have to go through customs to get in! I think there may be an import tax!

Battery maintainer - "Aviation" vs normal

I have used a 24V Batteryminder aviation charger/maintainer on my Gill battery since 2006. I am still using it on that 2006 battery and it is still working well. Let's see that would be 9+ years now. So far so good. I have never had a 12V or 24V battery go that long.

    FlightPro question

Yes I agree that 1200 users were not enough. It was a very good app in the beginning, easy to use in flight. Development lagged in the past year and that was the first sign of trouble, so I guess it is on to another app.

    FlightPro question

It appears after reading the PLAINTIFFS ORIGINAL PETITION, the users of Avilution or FlightPro,whatever it is, are screwed. We can't get updates and I will be surprised if we recover our subscriptions. Guess it is time for the 750 or 1200 of us to find a new app. Sad thing is the app actually...
