    iPad mini and ADS B

I did, I went and tried it in our airplanes and everything worked perfectly. And this is just opinion, but for me Foreflight is much more user friendly.

    iPad mini and ADS B

We have Stratus transponders in all of our aircraft. Maybe that's part of it. I did download foreflight and find it to be MUCH more intuitive and user friendly than Garmin Pilot.

    iPad mini and ADS B

I’m beginning to see some advantages to foreflight. My buddy and I have flown together several times and he always has traffic info when connected to the transponders via WiFi and I get nothing. I’ll try foreflight and see if that works.

should my iPad be able to display traffic by using the ads b from our panel mounted transponders? I'll look into gdl 39. Thanks!

    iPad mini and ADS B

I'm using an iPad mini 5 and Garmin Pilot. I fly 4 different aircraft in our flying club and all of them have the Stratus ADS B transponders with WiFi. Do I need a GDL 50 for ADS B information to be displayed on my ipad?

That would not be typical routing. I was wondering at first if they had some kind of in-flight issue and tried to divert to KAHN (Athens) only to fly right into that cell? The ADS-B seems to go from 6100 to 5800 and then just stop reporting.

Sheriff's office reported debris approximately 1/2-1 mile away from the main wreckage.

For Sale Looking for an airplane to rent. KPDK KLZU

I just saw this. I might be a renter that could be interested in a partnership in the near future. Sounds like a potential good fit. Will you message your contact info to me? Or I can message you.

For Sale Looking for an airplane to rent. KPDK KLZU

I looked at the airplanes at Skybound today. They are nice airplanes compared to some of the rental rats I've seen in the past at other places.

For Sale Looking for an airplane to rent. KPDK KLZU

Thanks for the reply. I've seen AeroAtlanta and their fleet looks very nice. I agree, their prices are "spiffy". I think a partnership or flying club would make more sense but I haven't completely ruled them out. I went by Skybound too. At one point I saw a post for a Comanche at LZU that was...

For Sale Looking for an airplane to rent. KPDK KLZU

I'm a 1200 hr comm inst sel pilot that has been ground bound for about 10 years. My business has recently made getting current and proficient necessary so that I can fly around the southeast estimating projects. I'm looking to rent a well maintained IFR equipped airplane for these trips. I'd be...

    Safety pilot in Atlanta?

I've got a full IFR 182 and I need a safety pilot that wants to do some flying to keep me current and proficient. If you need a safety pilot I'd be glad to return the favor as well... I'm based at KWDR but can meet anywhere within' reason. Thanks!

NTSB says glass no safer than steam

We almost bought a Cessna 400 last December. We took a demo flight and I have to say the G1000 was quite impressive...but I also found it to be somewhat overwhelming in the amount of information available at one time. If we don't go to a twin, I'm also looking at a G500 with one 430W, mode S...

    Go/No-Go Decision Thread

Okay, it's 1pm, looking at everything I would not go without any anti/de-ice capability. The ceilings aren't horrible and it appears to be trending toward improvement enroute....it's getting out of PA that would concern me the most. I didn't see any pireps for tops either, that would help...
