45 foot paper airplane

Jesus at Gizmodo lost all credibility this week.

Here are some of his quotes regarding the "Human bird wings"

The burden of proof is on you. These guys did something, showed it to the world, and the typical armchair experts who usually scream PHOTOSHOPPED! or FAKE! are doing exactly that from their offices, dens and basements.
But until someone proves this to be fake, it's not fake. It's pretty simple.

You keep talking about "believing." It appears this has been covered in serious press over Europe. I still haven't seen any proof that this is not real and it looks real to me.
Do you have any proof about this not being real? I'd gladly correct the article if you can provide with real proof. Not speculation. Proof.

It is doable and he did it. It's not fake. It's been covered by the euro press and it's real.

Yes, and the go camera video is also faked. And all the newspaper and TV coverage. I'm so tired of the armchair FAKE experts who don't have a ******* clue.

I'm no longer reading any of his garbage.

I made a 10 foot long paper airplane once. It was the most structurally sound design I own, done on really heavy cover stock, and it still flopped closed just after being launched from a balcony. If what the video shows is even close to being real, their definition of "paper" is probably quite a bit different than mine.

Still a cool idea, though.

There's been a number of other " respectable" news groups reporting on it, so for the moment... I'm going with "true".

The material looks very "cloth like". I wonder what other structure is underneath, too.

I noted a line of bolts and wondered the same thing- it appears to be a bit more than just paper.

Besides- it's been done already :)
