I need to give a new employee remote access into my windows based office network. I mostly use windows remote desktop to run the applications directly on the terminal server. Now, the new staffer has an apple i-mac and an i-pad. What applications are available to run RDT on those apple products ?

I use Logmein.com for all the computers in my office, and it works very reliably for access from pretty much anything with a web browser. I addition, there is an app for use with iPad and iPhone, use of which is very effective on the iPad, not so much on the iPhone (because of the teensy screen).

Highly recommended.

Thanks for the leads.

Microsoft has a freebie MAC app called Remote Desktop Connection.
It works fine for me.

Yeah um... Ditto. Microsoft has an RDC for Mac client. Even forwards audio so your Mac friends will wonder if you're dual-booting or something when they start hearing Windows sounds coming from your Mac.

I guess I could download that from the microsoft site. Wonder if a mac can even log onto their site :wink2: .

I like the tabs in xCord. I also like the fact that Microsoft didn't write it :)

There was some other issue with the Microsoft mac RDP client as well that used to always frustrate me. I can't remember exactly. Might have had something to do with pasting a password.
