Can't go this weekend. Cherokee is in the shop ..... getting a new GPS/COM Oh yeah I'm not complain', well except for the 15.6 AMU pricetag.
How about GXY at 11:15 Saturday morning? Looking forward to see folks again and meeting new.

Doug has the Skyhawk from 12-3, I think, so we'd be late. We talked in e-mail earlier about flying up to see y'all in 79M, then moving the Skyhawk flight back to around 1 PM. Still kinda chops things up a bit. Well... We'll see what Saturday brings...
I'm in. Any chance of a hop in your Jabiru?

Wife told me tonight that she needs to go to Craig next Saturday morning, so we've tentatively planned to keep an eye on the weather for that. I'll either be flying her over at dawn Saturday morning, or driving her over after 8PM Friday night. Yawn.
Flying sure sounds better if the weather would allow it. This time of year though, the Yukon is primary and the Skylane's the backup plan, unless Mother Nature were to give the green light. ;-)
And the problem is? So we'll sit around for a while, we'll dally on our way to Greeley - practicing slow flight is always a useful exercise.
For those at FTG, Clark & I have 4-5-6 extra seats depending on your correspondence to the FAA standard passenger.
Works for me. Any designated pax in the area, please advise.
This designated passenger is probably 2/3 of a person. What time do you want to meet at FTG?For those at FTG, Clark & I have 4-5-6 extra seats depending on your correspondence to the FAA standard passenger.

I'll probably fire up a bit early to go out east and turn some 100LL into noise...so maybe a 10:15 to 10:30ish departure.
Sounds about right. I go slower, so a 10:30 dep. is perfect for a 11:15 arrival.

Okay, Doug says we're comin' to GXY... we'll be up "sometime" after noon! 303-594-5444 cell. I won't have the Skylane with me, but I may call the other guys in the Skylane and tell them to bring it up... in case Doug scares me too much. (Ha. Kidding.)
I also have a seat at FTG. Mine's an old 180, so the back seats are most theoretical (unless you're a double amputee).
So it looks like a Gaggle of Cherokees from FTG - GXY?
What? Another Cherokee fly-in?Everyone knows Cherokees travel in tribes

Hey y'all, the new governor needs his "personal space" coming up here soon... not tomorrow, but just covering your six...

70% chance of snow and high temps about 14 F. The news crews are gonna be unhappy. No one else, unless it's on their job description, will probably show up.
I can't help it all the cool folks buy Grummans
It could be both... Mostly I was smiling because I didn't flatten any tires or collapse any struts.Mari had a pretty big grin back at FTG. Dunno if that was because she survived the trip up and back or because she enjoyed the day...
There are a few lakes out there where you could have performed a Sully...I really thought I was going to be Sullied for a few moments. Good thing geese don't split-s like seagulls do.
Nice to see Greg again and meet the rest of you. Lunches can't be too long when you with pilots
I just checked the YE website - Doug's been eligible to fly as soon as he got his Sport Pilot cert.
"All participating pilots must be members of EAA and must hold an appropriate Airman’s Certificate (Sport Pilot or greater)
Pilots must possess a current Medical Certificate (if applicable)"
There WAS a Grumman Cheetah there, just not part of our group. Also a Grumman Widgeon (re-engined to flat engines, not round ones?) pulled in during lunch. And a gaggle of RVs.
