Who's Building What?

I'm getting involved with this, finished the engine last week.

Tom, That's a nice looking Supercub, but I hope you're not planning to install the toilet in the first pic :D

I am still lurking Dave. I am buried under aluminum chips. Fuselage is nearing completion on the 9A and the finish kit should be here mid April.
Engine is under construction here at the shop. I have been ignoring my website for the most part cause rivets are more important than pictures:D

Thanks for checking in, Don. I still plan to bother you for a couple hours, one of these days. Yes the website was worrisome but as long as you are still at it, that's all that matters!

Post pictures or it ain't happening!

I'm apparently building a workbench.... or a shelf... or something... This picture was taken AFTER I cleaned the wing off!

um, yeah, dude, I think I'd have spelled that "closet Piet lover", though that doesn't help much, either.

Fitting and alignment holes in progress
Trial fit, when I get me that hanger

Learning to tig weld 032 aluminum, priceless!

Total progress 60% complete and 90% to go

Looks great. I'm fairly busy this weekend with family - but would love to see it sometime soon.

Here are some more pictures of final paint and assembly.

Here are a few pics after final paint and assembly.

I had the plane painted at Abbott Aviation, Aurora, NE.

I'm having a difficult time getting motivated again to resume work on the A-Plane. Can't put my finger on it, but it might have something to do with a totally trashed out garage.

Staying motivated is a huge deal! Start by committing to clean off the work bench and put away all the tools. Then commit at least 5 mins a day in the shop, even if it is just to look at the plans. Once I got started I was amazed at what I perceived as a huge project was an hour of work. Now that the weather is nice get after it! :D

Wow- it really looks nice out there.

Thanks! I appreciate the compliments!

You deserve the compliments! It's a great looking plane.

If you're looking to do a day trip, the local EAA chapter has a potluck/meeting on the 2nd Saturday of the month. You ought to bring it up here and show it off.

I started building a chicken coop today from scratch sans plans. Definitely experimental. Does that count? :D

Sooner Red will get you killed in Nebraska, won't it?!!!
Looks more like CornHusker Red to me. Go Red!

Barb

The shade of red may be debatable, but it does display the "N" for nowledge, in proper Husker fashion...

Congratulations on a truly beautiful project. You have reason to be proud. I hope I get to see in in person some day.

Alright! You have done a great looking job.

There is something about flying such simple aircraft with minimal instrumentation that just can't be had in the much more complicated modern craft.
