Went to a local fly in at a nice grass strip last weekend. They had a really big turn out for such a small grass field. There was about 50 planes that showed up. Only problem I had was parking the plane, the line guy had me park right on the edge of a ditch and the plane started to roll down into it and when I went to grab it I damaged my leg, so that put a damper on my fly in excitement as I could barely walk. I did manage to get a few pics while I was sitting on my wheel fairing.

I landed at Lincoln a few times before the Warsaw airport opened. I see they cut the grass. Last time I was there it was almost hay cutting height. Looked smooth enough from the air, but left grass stains on the belly upon landing.

The only thing within walking distance of the airport at the time was a Pizza Hut.

We drove to the Lincoln fly-in. My two older kids went on the Young Eagle's flight. Eric was excited and had me help him with the log book he received from the flight. He has decided he wants to learn to fly.:cheerswine: I now have to get back into my flying again so he has a flying buddy, lol.

Great! Too bad I didnt I know you were there or we could have went flying. I didnt get around to much of the field, but I was enjoying what I saw.

We did not get there until after 2:00. The boys had a football game in Cole Camp. We stopped on the way back. It was a blast and the smile on Eric's face was priceless. There is going to be another Young Eagle's Rally at GLY on the 26th, no fly-in but Young Eagle flights.
