Nice photos, Dean! Attached is one of you that I took with my iPhone. I have a LOT of photos to post and will post them soon.

Thank you for not posting unflattering photos. I'm sure that you will be as thoughtful when you edit the video before posting it on the internet. That was my nice way of saying maybe you need to not put any segments of me in the video...just other people and airplanes and stuff like that. :D

geeze, Diana, why wouldn't we want to see an attractive woman like you?

Sniff . . .sniff. What's that scent? Is it the aroma of blown smoke?

Wayne, be nice. (I wish there was one of those "whip" smilies here, because this would be a good time to use it. :p)

A few more.

Chris, if you're here to read it, thank you very much for he eyeball peeling ride in your very nicely harmonized Swift. And thanks to your spouse for the borrow of you.

For those who have not had the experience, you really can roll it into a 45 degree bank, fly with your index finger in a steep turn, and not have to retrim. In the Seneca, my left arm would be tired.

A swift with 210 hp and 15 pounds per squre foot. Miniature Hawker Hurricane, really. Who wouldda thunk it!

Thanks to Marc for not demonstrating abject fear during our Citabria ride!

Thank you for being kind, Dean, and not showing how I really PASTED it on as in "THUD!" (70 mph) just before your footage begins......

Hmmm. I know I waddled the Citabria......
I wonder if that was Bill's Citabria..if it had wheelpants it was his. :)

You sure can see some of the bumps in the runway with that view. There is a take-off bump going in every direction. :D

He doesn't get on the forums, Bruce, but I'll pass that along to him. :)

Cris let me roll the Swift one time when we were flying around. I couldn't believe how easy it was to roll!!! But, then most anything is easier to roll than a Citabria. :D

This is the video that Cris helped me make with his Swift:

Dr. Bruce, I was just glad you didn't run screaming from the aircraft once you said, "Your plane". :D

Seriously, it was a highlight of the day for me, and at risk of bringing out the logbook police - already made a note "flew with Dr. Bruce"

Thanks for the ride and thanks to Diana for letting me ride in her bird.

marc

Had no ideas the Globe Swift was aerobatic! I want one!!!

Great photos and vids. Thanks Diana.

looked like a good time.
Happy late b day.

Thanks, guys. :)

Dean, I've watched your video several times now and the more I watch it, the more I like it. You got some incredible shots of people landing. And I know it takes some time to do the editing when you have a lot of video to sort out. Thank you again for making the video and for posting it. :)

And thanks for not including any unflattering photos or shots.

Here's a photo of Mike Newman (flyer) getting a ride in the Bird Dog. :)

And one of Tom and Bruce getting ready to go flying in the Citabria. The camera was supposed to focus on Bruce, but focused on the corn instead, but it looks kinda interesting the way it focused. :)

I am keeping them for my Ace in the hole.:D

:D Is that why you didn't answer your phone last night. :D

BTW, here is the photo I took of you with my iPhone the next day.

Did I mention that I love that song you used in the video? Great choice!

HOLY COW!!

Looks like you all had lots of FUN!! The most I've ever done was a loop. Diana, I especially liked your video taken from the Swift. I can't wait to get to meet you all! I wish the Farm wasn't so far, that would definatly be my kind of place! Maybe when I get down that way for a family re-union. Not every day that you see twins on grass anymore, either.

Stop on by! :) Where does your family have their reunions?

Not every day that you see twins on grass anymore, either.
This one certainly was impressive, that's for sure. The crowd was definitely watching. I think we even cheered when Bruce took off and popped up out of the corn so quickly. :D

No harm done. It's hard to tell them (Bruce and the corn) apart at a distance anyway.

That was not Kim, someone else here.

That's right. I didn't do a go around this weekend...I maybe should have but I managed to wrestle it to the ground before I ran out of runway. :D

Tony, did you have a clunker?? Somehow that makes me feel more normal...

Wayne!

Here are some photos that Tom took with his iPhone from the back of the Citabria when Bruce was flying. Tom had his thumb over part of the camera eye, so I had to crop his thumb out. :D I wish the prop wouldn't look so funny. But, the clouds looked nice. :)

Tony, did you have a clunker??

It looked like a nice recovery, whoever did it.

Those views that Dean captured are great, aren't they? First you see the shadow coming over you, and then you see the airplane landing over you. Cool. B)

Can we post it on the PB now? :)

As long as we clarify I was NOT the pilot...:D:D:D

:D I'll leave the disclaimers up to you. :D

One of the landings I'm including in the video that I'm trying to make includes a little hop...it's a happy little hop. I'm cutting out the happy hop. I'm nice that way. :D

Seriously, go ahead and post it...;)
OK. :)

I had to get out of bed to post this...:D I do remember doing a go around with Tom Richards early in the day when I had asked him to fly with me to shoot a couple of landings because I always come in too high there...

My first one was bad...then he told me to fly a 500 foot pattern and it worked like a charm. :cheerswine:

Was Dean there that early in the day?

Damn. A girl can't get away with anything around here...:D:D

No I wasn't there then, you shouldn't tell on yourself. I am pretty sure the pilot was was a young man from Kansas.
