Took my sweetheart out to lunch for Valentine's day. The wife came too :D

It was REAL rough below about 2500 agl. Wind was around 20G30 at both airports, but it was more or less right down the runway. Bumpy but tolerable in cruise. I've never flown in winds aloft this strong. Restaurant at KMDH is REALLY good. Half price appetizers if you fly in .

G5 pics look like you were a mile high…join the club?
I mean, the new autopilot is pretty good, but I'm not sure I trust it that much yet...

I want a "Day / Night" switch.
What does it do?

Do you have one for the different seasons too?
There's 4 lights up there... gear unsafe, fuel pump, landing light, and pitot heat...it dims them so they don't burn your retinas at night. Unfortunately it does not dim the led on the "superclock", so it still ruins my night vision all by itself.

The one for the seasons is next to the "wings stay on/wings fall off" and the "dump all the oil on the windshield" switches, so I don't touch it anymore.

That first photo is great. She's like, WTF am I doing here??? :D
I really liked the juxtaposition between the "this turbulence sucks" and the "smile I'm taking a picture" faces. We got irrefutable proof today that the "reliefband" I got her works very well.

Wind here yesterday was something like 230 at 30G42. Most runways are 17 or 18. Not much flying happened! Even canceled a post-maintenance check flight at work. Today looks much nicer!

Is that one of those electronic ones? Was wondering if they actually worked.

I'm... asking for a friend

Yes; they work amazingly well. She used to get nauseous even on relatively smooth flights. When she turns it on she gets nearly instant relief. It's like magic. I was always skeptical as it doesn't make sense to me, but they're the real deal.
