We're celebrating my birthday at the farm this year with a fly-in/cook out on Sunday, Aug. 24th in the afternoon. I'll open up the aerobatic box over the farm and will plan on giving aerobatic rides and who knows what other kinds of flying we'll be doing. :) Y'all are invited to join us if you're in the area.

Oh man... I would so be there, but I'll be leaving Sunriver, OR that day... So I'll be three times farther away than I'd normally be! :(

Oh well... Let me be the first to wish you a VERY happy birthday!

I'll see what I can do. My instrument rating is killing my flying budget right now--but maybe I can pull something off.

What is it with you and your timing?!? ;) First you miss my presentation and now this! :p :D Well, I hope you have a great time out there.

Thank you Kent. :)This year I hope to celebrate it with flying and friends.

Jesse, it would be great if you could come, but if not, at least you were considering it. :)

Hey, maybe you could shoot an NDB approach into LLU (which is 5 miles away) and then come here. :)

I wish I could come. It sounds like a blast. Unfortunately, I need to be in NYC for a couple of days for work. :(

Kelly and I are going to Sullivan that weekend so I can do my BFR and HP endorsement, if we get back in time, we'll come over. Happy birthday if we don't make it.:cheerswine::cheerswine::cheerswine:

Brian, I wish you could come too. I think you would enjoy meeting some of the people who will be there.

Unfortunately I don't have an ADF. But I could do the RNAV GPS RWY 03 into LLU. Worst case--5 hours on the motorcycle.

Do you have an identifier at your farm? I'm going to be headed that way in late August, might be able to drop in.

BTW, if you need it the hangar apartment is available before or after. :)

Diana, how far away from "Someday Ranch" are you. We need to stop by there for a look at some property. It's near Branson Missouri. Thanks

Airnav shows 08MO to be 44NM E of KSGF, Springfield-Branson National Airport

According to AirNav, MU24 to 08MO is 77.6 nautical miles.

Great, If we can get out during that weekend, we'll attend as well. Happy Birthday in advance!

Ted?.... Ted?.... After a trip to Diana's you'll be a lot closer to 250....

You know, I would so much rather go down to the farm and see Diana and all the PoAers.

Unfortunately, I have the previous engagement that weekend that is my family reunion. Diana, have your party a different weekend! ;)

Still working on 6Y9, though...

Well, shoot! Wish I could come, but it's the usual for us. B-day and anniversary celebration at our favorite little Inn. Only way I can make sure the husband remembers those dates. ;) :D

Sounds like a good plan! :D And lot less work than mine. :D

OK, I just talked with my friend Bill (the one who lost his airplane in a tornado) and he might do a hot air balloon launch from the farm if the weather cooperates.

Ross...you are so lucky to be surrounded by women. :D

Not only does Diana have a birthday on the 25th, so does Kaye, Agatha, and ME!!!!! :D

Me and Geoffrey Thorpe will represent for the guys on the 26th.

OK, we have a confirmation on the hot air balloon being here at the farm. Maybe tether rides or a cross country ride depending on the weather.

Unlikely I'll make it, but if I win that Ercoupe drawing on the 17th, maybe I'll make a detour on my way home with it from ND. :D :fcross:

Either way, have a happy!! :D

Wow, that's over 800 nm from Harrisburg, PA. Have a great birthday and a party. Could 08MO be the site of the August/September 2008 Pilotcast ?

Bummer, Diana. It looks like we'll be in MSP that weekend for a wedding. :( If not, I'd get Tony and we'd fly down for my Commercial XC. :)

Have a great weekend! Sounds like a hoot!

Oh come on!!!! Pah 800 nm isn't that far.... All we have to do is get Ted to ditch his Family and we can all fly down in the Archer!

I might try to slide down there that weekend. Thats not far from me. Well see how the WX looks.

Thanks guys! Sorry you can't make it.

Those of you who come early are welcome to fish in our lake. We'll also have a fish fry if you catch enough.

That would be great if you can make it. We use 122.9 at the farm and I'll make frequent announcements if I'm doing aerobatics over the farm. You might shoot me a PM when you know if you are coming and we can visit about the runways.
