At the bottom of this post is a list of all the organizations whose members receive a discounted ticket price for SNF. You will see that SNF had the audacity, the unmitigated gall, to leave POA off the list!

Obviously, we cannot let this go unchallenged. When you go to the ticket booth, insist upon your rightful discount as a POA member. (And if it doesn't work, your pilot's license will get you the discount anyway.) Let them know that, like Glenn Close, we will not be ignored!

:stirpot:

How does one get a discount if they are part of one of the above organizations?

Contact said organization for their code for an online purchase or show your credentials at the ticket booth if you buy at the show. It’s like a $5 discount so I wish it was cumulative across organizations.

Just slip 'em ten bucks and they'll give you the discount.

Nauga,

I'm quite confident that you and the rest of the MC are working hard to rectify this tragic oversight. What progress are you making?

In the past I just showed my EAA card or my pilot's license at the ticket booth. I suppose we'll need POA membership cards....
Just show them the POA tattoo on the bottom of your foot. Mine used to say "Andy" but I had it changed.

Ron "To Florida (but not beyond)" Wanttaja

EAA members have always received a discount at the ticket booth...like $10 per day discount. If you stay several days, you should join EAA. I don't know if they honor more than one discount...probably not.

I suspect if someone wants to rent a display booth for the entire event, they will consider a discount for members...anyone want to spend thousands to save five bucks ?

Why not just say you are with women in aviation :)

The other way to get in cheap, also works at Oshkosh, is to fly in with a warbird. Free entrance. Premium airplane parking space. And you can fly in the show.

I get free admission and camping because I teach Origami. Don't get to fly in the show though.

Being a member of EAA and AOPA,I get the discount but only once . Also a young eagles pilot ,doesn’t get you a bigger discount. It’s all about the money.

We’re pilots! Spending thousands to save five is perfect! :)

I guess it’s all who you know, I have never paid to get into SNF.

Yep, but I had to get it on the black market. And the bloody thing doesn’t have a pocket!

Seems it may be time to start bootlegging these things. But to be an authentic bootleg it would have to be pocketless ...

I really look fore ward to Sun n fun every year.

This is really a non issue for anyone who might still be interested. I attended Sun N Fun this year...told them I was a member of EAA...they gave the 5 dollar discount without asking for proof. I am pretty sure they used to give 10 dollar discounts back when it was a sanctioned event.

POA shirts must be at a premium never saw a single one at sun n fun.

What’s funny is that the Ninety-Nines gets you a discount, but to be a Ninety-Nine you have to be a pilot! So which gives the bigger discount?
