KICKOFF!!

only if you can show that the officials replacing those bottom 10% would be better.
I doubt that in many cases, all of the replacements would be as bad as, or worse than the bottom 10%. But the ones that are will be dropped next year and a new batch will be brought in. Theoretically, every year the bottom rung will be raised.

In my experience, that works for about 3 years. After that, not so much.

Wow.

GT over UNC, 21-17. Using their 3rd string QB.

Wow.

And even a bigger wow..... the Aggies won a game.!!

Oh wait, just read someone in the crowd set off a fire cracker and the other team thought the game was over and left the field. 7 plays later the aggies score...

Gotta love the Aggies. Started the season ranked (IIRC) #7, and quickly fell to #131..

Sigh…. If they want to improve their record, they just need to play Nebraska.

OU came out with their hair on fire in the first quarter of Bedlam and put up 28 points. Then went silent for the next 3 quarters on offense. Can't even explain how bad that game was to watch, for both teams, lol. They got the win, but the Sooners just can't seem to put together a complete game on both sides of the ball.

GT really surprised me. UNC was the 21 point favorite but Tech completely shut down their offense in the second half. Five sacks and IIRC two interceptions. And Tech’s offense adapted their strategy well to suit their 3rd string QB, the other two being injured. Lots of runs and short passes. No big gains, just steady advancement without turnovers, and several critical first downs.

I was surprised a couple of times when GT’s QB didn’t run when he had a clear lane, but then I realized that they didn’t dare risk injuring him.

The Bucks have a truly ugly win against Maryland of all teams. Not inspiring, not at all.

So howza ‘bout that PAC 12. 6 teams in the top 25 and a 7th ‘others receiving votes.’

I hope Oregon demolishes USC. I think any of the current Top 10 teams would take the entire PAC 12 to the wood shed, it's just a lot of mediocre teams. UCLA has 3 conference losses and shouldn't be ranked #16. Oregon State will drop out of the Top 25 after this weekend when Oregon beats them. USC has managed to have a schedule that doesn't include Washington or Oregon in the regular season, which probably would have landed them at least one more loss. PAC-12 championship probably ends up with Oregon and USC.

The SEC seems to have beaten up on each other this year, so aside from Tenn, Bama, Georgia, and LSU, they have a lot of teams with 4-4 or worse records.

Big 12 is the same as SEC (although worse teams on average).

Somehow Iowa (who is 7-3 overall, 5-3 in conference) is unranked while Ole Miss with basically the same record is #14, lol.

Ok. I can stop watching now.

Ga Tech. 7
Georgia. 0

GT played a decent first half. Then in the second half the Dawgs came onto the field.

Well, we have to remember that Tech has had several years of poor coaching, as well as at the start of this season. When your failure of a head coach gets fired mid-season and your two top QBs get injured, it’s not too surprising what happens when you go up against the undefeated #1 team in the country.

In happier news, I’m watching one of my other alma maters, UCF, beat up on USF in the “War on I-4.”

I was not expecting to go that way, so I only have 2 words to say,

Buck It, Suckeyes!

Glad to see Lincoln Riley and USC take the L against Utah (again). Lots of Sooners were Utes fans yesterday lol.

Oregon?? WTF they got to do with this anymore???

Sad day with the loss of Coach Mike Leach. That guy was pure gold in the post game press conferences. Pretty impressive for a guy who never played football at the collegiate level. Big part of the offensive firepower at OU for their 2000 national championship and offensive scheming through the early 00s.

He turned Texas Tech into a contender with his air raid offense. Made Washington State a bit less terrible as well. Seemed to be doing okay at Miss State.

Will miss the Pirate.
