Bakin' Bacon

Word to the wise:

If you like to cook bacon in a frying pan while naked, wear an apron and don't face away from the skillet...

i was going mention deep frying fresh side, but probably shouldn’t after that post.

I used to make bacon several times a week, but as my wife gets older she doesn’t like to make bacon as often. ☹️

The wife cooks it on parchment paper in the oven most of the time. It's good, but it's just not quite the same to me. I just like it better on the pan or griddle.

pan wins tastiest bacon. baked wins most convenient way to cook lots of bacon. also, huge and I mean HUGE difference between parch paper and tin foil I tried parch paper once, will never do it again, not even close to the same results.

Agreed, but pan pan with the bacon always turns in to a mayday cleaning situation for me, requiring a disk grinder, jackhammer, and banned industrial solvents.

My wedding date was largely predicated on getting my house ready for my wife and the girls to move into. My mom figured she should help out so it didn’t take long enough for my wife to change her mind. ;)

my kitchen was about 7’ x 9’, and my mom spent 3 days cleaning it. I was forbidden from frying anything until after the wedding.:dunno:

Best part of pan frying the bacon is frying the eggs in the bacon grease.

while frying eggs in bacon grease is indeed really really AWESOME... the best part of pan frying bacon is, of course, the bacon itself...

Any excuse to make a trip to Harbor Freight...
