You're

The annoying->crazy->maybe ok thing is that with language drift, misuse of words, and their misspellings, eventually becomes normal and accepted with the passage of time!
I was almost physically sick the first time I saw “ain’t” in a widely accepted dictionary decades ago.
Fighting this drift is not feasible, many other, much larger battles are available to us!

Who can forget the ATITPPA or ‘With You’ on-line wars?
A billion Yottabytes of discussion, much of it heated…and last flight I heard both; they are common now and won’t be stopped anytime soon!
Yup. And it goes deeper than Funk and Webster. Scrabble recognizes yup.

Contractions should not be used in written text and are only permissible in speech when necessary for expedience, yo.

’E carried me away
To where a dooli lay,
An’ a bullet come an’ drilled the beggar clean.
’E put me safe inside,
An’ just before ’e died,
'I ’ope you liked your drink,’ sez Gunga Din.
So I’ll meet ’im later on
At the place where ’e is gone—
Where it’s always double drill and no canteen.
..."

I kinda like contractions. Acronyms, however, I'm not as fond of.

Hope the uses of RADAR or LASER never benefits you.

Thank You. For this important grammer “tip.” Its important, to “always” use Good Grammer.

I think you meant “Lovers’ quarrel,” no?
Without doubt. How could I have been so obtuse? With Sac Arrow, his uncle, the horse, some innocent sheep—just consider the combinations and permutations of that barnyard geometry. Rural and plural. I heard their gonna put on a show and call themselves The Aristocrats.

Not just y’all, all y’all need to. You’re being annoying.

It's important to point out that y'all is singular, all y'all is plural. :D

Why couldn't Helen graduate from the Witch's Academy?

She couldn't pass the spelling test.

No, y'all is plural. All y'all is more plural.

Your son and his two friends come into the room.

You say "hey, y'all come over to the house for supper tonight, we're having barbecue".

Your son says they're going to connect with their girlfriends and go out.

You say "Well shucks, why don't all y'all come down for supper first?"

So far I've found both result in some sort of non-moving violation ticket and a decent sized fine...

I'm good with RADAR, LASER, SONAR. It's the ones in IT that change every few months, often driven by vendors to try to create new market spaces, or people peddling new management strategies. BLUF, LEAN, CSMA, SAAS, PAAS, GAN, VDI, SDN. It's f&*&ng endless. Added to that, within our organization, no new project seems to exist without it's own new acronym, which sometimes conflict with another acronym in common use, because business solution guys don't know what network geeks are speaking. I know, first world problem for sure.

You said number. Those are both numbers. Decimals and fractions, but still numbers.

And neither is an integer. One is even irrational, and transcendental.

Since this is a nitpicking thread, I have to jump in here, go to full nitpick pedantic mode, and say that's not true. I don't see any irational or trancendental number in that post. I do see a rational number which looks to be the identical to the first 11 digits of the irrational trancendental number pi, but, as written, the number in the post is merely a number which can be expressed by a fraction.

QED

Fair enough.

I hate the use of the phrase "more than" followed by an exact number. ie, "The thief got away with more than 93 lawn gnomes."

Was it like 94 lawn gnomes? Or...100?

I believe the phrase you are searching for is pert near ...

Maybe the exact number is unknown. :dunno:

It's all good and fun until someone gets injured by a lawn gnome.

"What is your location?"

I possess a few locations. But you probably want to know which one I am at.
