Thinking of flying down to Panama City Beach and going into ECP this weekend. The weather looks nearly perfect with nil winds aloft and possibly even a slight tail each way.

Anybody have the scoop on what it’s like going into there? I know it’ll probably be loaded to the gills being Memorial Day weekend, but I’m willing to tough out the crowds for a day of fun. Mainly curious on what the ground handlings are like.

TY!

large airport, few local facilities, low traffic, loonng way from town now, lovely gas prices :(

OK. Someone 'splain me this....

One runway. EVERYTHING (as in Everything) is on one side of the runway. Ain't one taxiway that crosses a runway. And yet the airport diagram says: "CAUTION: BE ALERT TO RUNWAY CROSSING CLEARANCES"

The runway is 10,000’ long and the FBO is at one end so intersection departures are common. I’m guessing that’s the reason but it is awkwardly phrased.

Flew down and back today! Beautiful place and a great time! 5.3 hrs logged!

If it’s Florida and you are a tourist you will expected to support the state.
