Anywhere in south Tampa is a bit of an exaggeration as well. The TFR is only 5NM around MacDill.
 
I doubt if MacDill is authorized to speak for the FAA and to make statements on how the FAA would respond. They definitely cannot tell a drone operator what they can or cannot do in civil airspace. Stay in your lane zoomies.

No, but the FAA does impose TFRs for airshows which is what is going on this weekend. The Blue Angels and other military aircraft will be operating at high speeds and low altitudes during the show.
 
The FAA imposes UAS restricted areas inside UAS operating areas.

Bored at work today so I watched Flightradar24 of the MacDill show. Interesting, everyone showed up on it except the F-22 and the Blues. I know they (BA1,5,6) used to squawk during the show because I would watch them on radar. Guess they don’t anymore.
