I posted this in some FB groups but thought y'all would enjoy as well. It sums up how I feel about this awesome hobby (and for some profession) that we all enjoy. It took me a long time to get my Pilot Certificate but it was well worth it! I put together a giveaway that includes some discovery flights, ground school app subscriptions, and Foreflight subscriptions so I hope it helps out some aspiring aviators.

Cool vid. Hope it inspires someone.

That must have been quite a sacrifice jumping from the Six back into a C172N. :)

Yup. I'm certainly poorer

And wiser and more fulfilled.

I hadn’t flown a 172 in 7 years and it was actually really fun. Kind of made me miss that more nimble toy airplane feel. Haha. I loved it.

Nice video!

Did you lose any luggage when the baggage door opened or didn’t realize it until after editing the videos?

My dad learned in a Cherokee 160. I bought a 180 last year. Now he flies my 180 more frequently than his Cherokee Six...at least for the "hey, let's go fly for a few" trips. It's got a STOL kit and is a fun little bugger. Was thinking of offloading it since I could sell for almost double what I paid...but I don't think he'd let me.

Your do a great job with you videos. I’m really enjoy them.

Where did you get that swell license? I only have a crummy certificate. And look at the size of it! How do you fit that in your wallet?

Simply outstanding, Eric. Your skill and passion show in equal measure.

That, there, will surely create some new pilots, and we need 'em, too!

Surprisingly no! I made a video about that incident. It was pretty nerve-wracking. Nothing fell out- I was only 5 miles from home base and it required only one turn to get lined up with the runway.

Thanks.

I got the license at film school where we learn sometimes it's more important to communicate the intended message in the most comprehensible way than be completely precise. :) And I got the size of it at the same place, where we learn a wide lens makes objects close to the camera appear bigger than ones farther away. That's an actual photograph of me holding the "license" by the way...just against a different background than where it was taken

“I became a pilot and nothing changed for me.” - Said no one ever

Nice video by the way, Eric.

Roger that !! Thanks Eric.

The editing in your videos really impresses me! Nice job!

As an old sign/bumper sticker said, "Pilots. Looking down on people since 1903." :)
