Laughlin AFB T38 crash 19 Nov 21

Do you know how I know you didn't look at the article you posted?

From the very first sentence:

"One T-38C Talon pilot was killed and two others injured, one critically, in a Friday morning accident involving two military training jets at Laughlin Air Force Base, Texas."

That's not what he meant. He meant our resident forum member T-38 pilots.

And your point being? Go drink some coffee and simmer down. I did read the article I posted and we have a member, maybe several, that are T38 IP's at Laughlin.

Yes. Black rifle always calms my nerves. jk. I love that stuff. You can feel your hair growing after 2 cups!
An excellent tool for November, for sure! I can walk through the grocery store in my home town on Thanksgiving weekend and not be recognized by former classmates, teachers, coworkers. And if I feel playful, I can walk up and ask very specific questions about how their family is doing lol

Edit: beard. Because of the beard....Black Rifle

yeah, code 1 here (though I've been stationed at RND for a few years now). Tough times yet again, right on the dot. November is not a good month for T-38s @ DLF (2017, 2019, 2021...this stuff would freak you out if one were superstitious).

The community and the pilot training enterprise will continue to receive further scrutiny; lot of tough questions will arise from these loss rates, but at this point it's too early to be talking about this. I won't go into the details I know, but it has been confirmed 1 of the three individuals involved is a fatality. Our lines here got cnx on Friday and Saturday(today) in solidarity with the Red Bulls.

A nickel and Hook Em'

P.S. Yes, my wife still "hates" my job. Nobody ever said this Service thing was free.

Glad you're alright man. Sorry to hear - take care of yourself out there.

Appears to be a runway collision. Student killed has been ID'd. RIP

It's not conjecture. Laughlin AFB PA has officially released the name of the deceased at this juncture, which has been further disseminated over social media and corporate news.

The nature of the accident won't be released for a long time. I could RUMINT for ya what I know, but I won't do that, as there is a potential folks in my shop or myself could be called out to serve on this SIB/AIB.

I can tell you our thoughts are with the surviving family members. Just like Trojan's parents, I cannot fathom what the parents of this 23 year old are feeling right now, as a father myself.
