Confused as to whether non-medicated ADHD counts as a neurological disorder

I know that ADHD medication poses a clear problem to class 3 medical certs. However, I have not used any medication for ADHD since roughly 2008. As I am filling out the application on medxpress, I don’t see any mentioned of ADHD as a “neurological condition” and I don’t see why I would have to report something that is not specifically mentioned, I am not treated or accommodated for, and frankly doesn’t significantly affect my day to day life. Is not mentioning ADHD a mistake? Will my AME find out this history and mention it anyway?

A) It counts - the FAA's position appears to be that if you ever had a diagnosis, you likely have ADD and are unfit for a medical unless you can prove otherwise. Medication or not.

B) The neurological condition question ends with "etc."
 
Use the search function. There are tons of threads on this subject. I wouldn’t complete the MedExpress until you learn some more about the process and what it will take to get you certified. To answer your question, I don’t know if the AME will find it but the FAA sure will, especially if there’s ever an incident. You don’t want to keep this from them.

Consider this paragraph from Appendix B of the MedXpress User Guide:

21.12 m. Mental disorders of any sort: depression, anxiety, etc.
Also, attention deficit disorder, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, bipolar disorder,
obsessive compulsive disorder, panic attacks, personality disorder, post-traumatic stress
disorder, psychosis.​

Even if it weren't for that, it would have to be disclosed in 18x:

21.18 x. Other illness, disability, or surgery
Any illness(es), disability(ies), or surgery(ies) not already reported in Item 18.​
