Great cause and fun chance to win a plane.

The raffle is live on September 15 at 6am
https://wingsofhope.ngo/raffle/

Only 5,000 tickets will be made available, 1 ticket for $75 and 3 tickets for $195.
Each ticket has a chance to win one of the following four prizes:
  1. Grand Prize: 1970 Cessna 172K Skyhawk (N172HL)
  2. Second Prize: a PPL or Advanced Training Scholarship
  3. Third Prize: a Bose A20 aviation headset
  4. Fourth Prize: an 11-inch 512 GB iPad with Wi-Fi and cellular
    PLUS a one-year subscription to ForeFlight Pro-Plus

I got mine this am.

Who else is trying to steal MY plane??? :D

Me too but only one ticket worth. If it's meant to be it's meant to be. :D

Bought 3 too, that way I can keep the new headset in the new plane to use when I take my commercial rating lessons.

Thought I would wait until tonight to buy a ticket so I would not have a low number and be the first in the bucket. The winning ticket is #4765! If I waited any longer I would have missed the opportunity altogether.

I bought 6. I didn’t buy any for the previous raffle. I plan on hiring a CFI to simultaneously ferry the plane from St. Louis to Morgan Hill and give me lessons along the way. Might stop in Lawrence, KS and Erie, CO along the way to see my oldest brother and my favorite sister.

I can apply the flying lessons scholarship to the ferry cost, as I’ll be earning my PPL.

Only a hair over 100 tickets left!!

That took longer than I expected.

Well, it was just a generic C172. Probably hard to get too excited about it for many pilots. I passed on this raffle as well, not that I wouldn't be elated to have ANY flightworthy aircraft handed to me.

Ya, it just a old run out 1970 C-172.
Garmin Avionics suite:
GTN-650XI GPS/NAV/COM (touchscreen which displays traffic and weather from
GTX-345 ADS-B Transponder),
GNC-255 NAV/COM,
two GI-275s to replace the Attitude Indicator and Directional Gyro (which will allow us to remove the trouble prone vacuum system),
and GMA-345 audio panel.

And If I win that 650XI gets pulled and put in the Mooney, the old 430 from the Mooney goes into the 172, and then sell baby sell!

None of that is going to make it any more comfortable than the 172 that it is (I've always found them a bit cramped in the front) or able to perform any better than the 172 that it is. Don't get me wrong, I'd be ecstatic to win it, but I'd probably sell it immediately if I did.
