Just today received an owner advisory letter from Textron .
Piston pin bushing material being found in oil and filter inspections.
Air plane is in for annual so this is quite timely.
Recommendation is fine screen filtering of oil and opening filter to check media for contamination . Am going to assist with annual on Friday the 4th .

Yeah, I got it too. it covers the 150A-400 and every model number in between......so every Cessna model ever. Plus the Beechcraft A23-everything. What in the world effects every single model of airframe and engine that I really need to care about in my O-200? If there is an AD out for the O-200, I'll listen, but some random service bulletin that every Cessna engine is about to blow up, I guess not so much worry.

So that shows that only flanged nuts purchased after 2017 area affected. Basically if your engine has not been opened up since 2017, it does not apply.
That's a different letter then the one I got. The AI said to bring letter with . The compliance says "Mandatory" with reference to Critical Service Bulletin CSB07-01 Revision A for compliance information.

I was referring to the quoted SB posted by Initial Fix, which if you read from the link only talks about flanged nuts made after 2017.

I also got the most recent one, talking about piston pin bushings. But it only says to look in your oil for chunks of bushing material. That seems like a no-brainer. So Cessna is now saying it is “mandatory” to look at your oil, for every Continental motor ever made.
