Hello - I am a new member and thought I would just jump in and say Hi. I am a student at the moment on the sport pilot track, I am training at 10C, at least for now. My wife and I just bought a house in Arizona so I will be moving to either AVQ or RYN, depending on the school.
One other thing, I got a very late start at my training, on my next birthday I will be 60.

Welcome to the joint. And the West and Geezerhood when ya gets here

Welcome to the PoA zoo! Please don't feed the wild animals.

Also, pictures of the airplane you are flying are mandatory (even if it isn't a Bonanza and has a high wing). ;)

Had me fooled, I’d have thought you were a jet jockey by the looks of your avatar!

Welcome aboard, sir!

Welcome. There is tons of great information here. I learn something every day. I recently resumed flying after a 25+ year break. I got an early start flying, but b/c of the break, kind of feel the same as you. I'm so glad I got back into it.

Hi and welcome. Since you are going sport pilot, the answer to your question about what aero-craft you should consider cannot be Bonanza. So I'm not sure what to say. Other than welcome!

Best picture of me that includes aviation, once I have enough posts I'll include a picture of what I am flying

OK, here is a picture of the "aero-craft" I am using for training, a Bushcat by SkyReach in South Africa

That looks like a ton of fun! Nice airplane!

It most certainly is, very agile, the Rotax 912ULS gets the 1,235 lbs gross weight plane off the ground quite quickly, 262 feet. The control surfaces need very little input to perform most maneuvers and can land in 328 feet

So youse is/was a big iron dude going back to school??

Negative, I had an opportunity to ride up front in a Embraer 505 from KSTC to KLOT, so had to take a picture once we landed
